Did you know...?

A couple months ago, I really felt like listening to some Pandora. My Enya Station felt like it would just hit the spot. But alas, it was not to be. This is what I saw upon entering pandora.com:

Dear Pandora Visitor,

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative.

We believe that you are in Chile (your IP address appears to be 190.209.56.68)...

We share your disappointment and greatly appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,

Tim Westergren

NOOO!!! I had no idea Pandora was strictly and American thing. Count your blessings. In the meantime I've decided that it's not so bad. I don't need to amuse myself to death.

  1. I totally relate to the R rated movie thing. I went to Stamtisch for German last year. It's an extra class in the evening where you just talk and learn random things. They watched a movie the first week called, Run, Lola, Run. I only understood a portion of it, but it was midly interesting and repetitive. When I got home Amanda told me it was R-rated. I felt bad. There was no sex, violence or anything objectionable. So, I asked my teacher if the language in German (which I had understood very little of) was bad. He said, no, it wasn't.It was crazy. I felt bad that I'd seen an R-rated movie, but good that there was nothing offensive in it.

I love your rotating pictures on your blog. They're better than mine, because you can watch them big. I might have to look into that...
